Topic: How often should we meetup?

Based on the poll of the meetup site [1], I want to ask what you guys think how often we all should meet up.

Re: How often should we meetup?

Last night's meeting was basically a failure.  Enough people showed up, but no one was ready to do a demo or session.

I'd like to suggest that we cancel the session two days in advance, if nobody has volunteered to present.  Even if it's just "presenting" a set of questions/problems or whatever.

More people have knowledge to share in this group.  It doesn't have to be "advanced" GNU/Linux stuff - I would appreciate anything about software, hardware, the web or whatever.  You don't need to be a total expert - God knows I'm not!

Re: How often should we meetup?

That may be a good suggestion, or instead of cancel, to postpone for a few days.

But need every session be about something to demonstrate? Surely LUGs tend to do more than that. We could have a LAN party or something, and organising it would help people learn more about networking and have a little fun in the process smile

I wasn't able to show up, sadly. My Dad had to do some more accounting, otherwise I would've shown an installation of XAMPP, or more netcat tricks or something.

Next meeting, however, I should have something fairly interesting to show you all big_smile

Let's just pretend I said something amusing here and you consider me awesome for the rest of your life.
